We opened our doors in the fall of 2005. We have staffed our spacious, four treatment room facility with experienced Licensed Massage Therapists, who are able to provide a variety of techniques. These techniques include Swedish, Cranio-sacral, Reiki, Neuormuscular Techniques (NMT), Aromatherapy, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Medical, Sports, Soft Tissue, Prenatal, Lymph Drainage, Shiatsu and Acupressure. We are Bureau of Workers Compensation Certified, and we are working with the Veterans' Administration to assist our disabled veterans.
We also offer on-site Chair Massages, and Fitness Training is available.
Meet our Therapists
Mary Ann McGill
Mary Ann McGill, LMT, Reiki Master, is the Owner/Director of Arrowhead Massage Therapy. Graduating from Healing Arts Institute in Perrysburg, Ohio in 2001, she established a thriving business out of her home for 4 years, while also working one day each week at the Center for Sacred Living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In the fall of 2005 she decided to open Arrowhead Massage Therapy, using her knowledge and experience to assist other Licensed Massage Therapists build their practices, in addition to being able to help even more clients discover the many benefits of massage therapy. Although Mary Ann continues to see the client-base she established out of her home, in addition to new Reiki and De-Grief clients, she is currently not taking new massage clients. She periodically, along with Wendy DeBord, Reiki Master, teaches Reiki. She would like to extend a warm welcome to Arrowhead Massage Therapy!Mary Ann is currently not accepting new clients.
Christa Blanton
Christa has been a practicing massage therapist for 3 years and obtained her training from Stautzenberger College of Massotherapy. Prior to working in massage, Christa worked in the nursing field for over 10 years. Her massage training and experience involves sports massage, relaxation, hot stone massage, deep tissue and she is certified in medical massage and workers' compensation. Using her nursing knowledge with her massage experience, Christa tries to offer each client a unique and balanced massage for both mind and body.Christa is available during the day Monday-Friday.
Thelma Jean "TJ" Collins
Becoming a massage therapist is a life-long goal and great accomplishment for TJ. She had her first experience with massage in 1979, receiving Swedish Massage and Reflexology. The affects of massage made her want to learn massage therapy. Never letting go of her dream, she became a massage therapist—graduating from Northwest Academy of Massage Therapy in 2002. Modalities she practices are Neuromuscular Techniques, Trigger Points, Pregnancy Massage, Hot Stone, The Raindrop Technique, Swedish, Chair, Lymphatic Drainage, Oncology Massage, Medical Massage and Workers Comp. She also specializes in elderly massage. Words from TJ:“I am always learning with each new client. My profession is a rewarding challenge. I respect my profession and consider it a privilege to be a part of a great and caring team of professional care-givers.”
TJ's schedule varies, but she is generally available Monday & Friday Afternoon and Saturday.
Gabe DeBord
Gabe graduated from the Healing Arts Institute in 2000. His schooling focused on traditional Swedish massage, but he has been trained in Myofascial Release, Cranio-sacral Therapy, Prenatal Massage, Neuromuscular Treatment, Sports Massage, Repetitive Use Injury Massage, Workers Comp. Certified and various forms of energy work including Reiki. He has also trained in Aromatherapy Massage, and Raindrop Therapy, which incorporate the powerful qualities of essential oils. He is now an Assistant Physical Therapist.Gabe is available for appointments every other weekend.
Renee Reaume
Renee graduated from the Healing Arts Institute in 2006. She became a massage therapist primarily because she wanted a way to help heal people by practicing in the medical field without becoming a doctor. She also wanted to work in a relaxed and enjoyable environment where her clients are not only happy to see her, but also happy when they leave. She practices Repetitive Use Injury Massage, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Pre-natal, Medical Massage and she is Workers Comp. Certified. In the future, Renee will be studying healing migraine headaches through massage and Medical Massage.Renee is generally available Monday - Friday until 5:30, and varying availability on the Weekends.
Kimberly Schwake
Kim graduated from the Healing Arts Institute in 2005. She has spent her time since graduating gaining experience in the massage field working at the day spa level and at the therapy level. She wants to use her background and training to most benefit the health and well-being of her clients. She practices Deep Tissue, Swedish, Hot Stone and Worker Comp. Certified.Kim is available Monday-Friday; some availability on Saturday and Sunday.
Jennifer Smith
Jennifer graduated from Mercy College of Northwest Ohio in May 2007 with her associate degree in Therapeutic Massage. She chose Massage Therapy as a career because there is always something new to learn, and each client/massage is never the same. She currently practices Relaxation, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Medical Massage, Hot Stone and Chair Massage. Right now she is utilizing her desire to continue learning by studying Myofascial Release and Reflexology. In the future Jennifer plans on earning her National Certification in Massage Therapy.Jennifer is available for appointments Monday-Thursday & Saturday Evenings, and all day Fridays & Sundays.
Brenda Whetro
Brenda has been a practicing massage therapist with Arrowhead Massage Therapy since early 2007 after she graduated from the Northwest Academy of Massotherapy in October of 2006. Her massage training and experience includes Swedish, Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Chair Massage, Hot Stone, Lymph Drainage Therapy I and II, Lypossage, and Medical Massage. Brenda is an embodiment of continuing education. She is always researching and learning new stretches, techniques and specialty massages to make your massage experience with her unique and personal.Brenda is available in the evenings Monday-Wednesday and Friday; and during the day on Saturday and Sunday. 23 September 2008
